Us
Dr. Uday Patkar specialises in prosthodontics, implant, laser dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry, and Dr. Alka Patkar focuses on endodontics and paediatric dentistry.

While we come from extensive experience, we always strive to improve based on our patient feedback and ensure that we keep our practice up-to-date on cutting-edge dental practices.
Caring and commitment is at the core of our practice at Careden, just like it always has been at Dr. Patkar’s. After all, it’s in our DNA. We always do our best to ensure that every patient who walks into our clinic walks out satisfied and smiling.
The year was 1986, and a small, independent dental clinic popped up in the suburbs of Santacruz, Mumbai. We were two youngsters in our 20s who decided to build something of our own. With little more than determination and a shared dream, we started from scratch. Did that deter us? No, our belief in each other carried us forward, one step at a time.

Together, we have grown Dr. Patkar’s Dental Clinic into Careden - a well-rounded and loyal community of patients spanning over three generations.

Dr. Uday Patkar
Dr. Uday Patkar, Dental Surgeon & Consulting Prosthodontist, and Specialist in Cosmetic Dentistry & Implantology, co-founded Careden (formerly Dr. Patkar Dental Centre) in 1986 alongside his wife, Dr. Alka Patkar. With over four decades of experience, Dr. Patkar has become a trusted expert specialising in prosthodontics, implant, and cosmetic dentistry. He completed his BDS and later pursued MDS in prosthodontics from Nair Hospital Dental College. He is also a Fellow of the International Congress of Implantologists (F.I.C.O.I., U.S.A.) and holds a Diploma in Laser Dentistry from Aachen University, Germany. Driven by a commitment to provide exemplary dental care, his philosophy is to prioritise patient care with empathy.
Dr. Alka Patkar
Dr. Alka Patkar is the co-founder of Careden (formerly Dr. Patkar Dental Centre), established in 1986 with her husband, Dr. Uday Patkar. Specialising in endodontics and paediatric dentistry, she combines extensive experience with a compassionate approach to patient care. Dr. Alka completed her BDS from Nair Hospital Dental College. while raising a family, driven by a commitment to make a difference. Known for her gentle touch and exceptional skill with children, she creates a welcoming environment that alleviates dental fears.
Why Careden?
Our philosophy is simple: helping patients makes us happy, which helps us be better than we were yesterday. This is why we decided to name our clinic Careden where ‘Care’ comes from the word Care and ‘Den’ stands for home - a space where patients feel safe, understood, and truly cared for.
